1. Acceptance of Terms

Pistis is operated by Brandon Bedford, doing business as Pistis, a sole proprietorship registered in South Korea (registration no. 879-03-03501). These terms cover both the Pistis app and this website (pistisapp.com). By downloading or using the app, joining the waitlist, or otherwise using this website, you agree to these terms.

2. This Website & Waitlist

This website provides information about Pistis and lets you join a waitlist by email before the app launches. Joining the waitlist does not create a purchase, subscription, or any other obligation — it is simply a request to be notified when the app is ready. See our Privacy Policy for how your email is handled.

3. The Practice

Pistis provides a daily structure for scripture reading, reflection, examen, and prayer, and locks a set of apps you choose until that structure is completed. Nothing in the app is AI-generated — every reflection and prayer is your own. Pistis provides the space, not the words. It is not pastoral counsel, therapy, or a substitute for either.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

Pistis is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (weekly or annual). New subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. Your payment method is charged automatically when the trial ends, unless you cancel before it does. Subscriptions renew automatically at the price shown at purchase until cancelled.

A discounted founding-member annual rate is available through December 31, 2026. The regular annual rate applies after that date; subscribers who purchased at the founding rate keep it for as long as their subscription stays active and renews without lapsing.

Cancel any time through your device's subscription settings. Cancelling stops future charges but does not refund the current billing period — access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.

Payment is processed entirely through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple is the Merchant of Record for all Pistis subscriptions and handles billing, refunds, and payment disputes according to its own policies. Apple's Standard End User License Agreement applies in addition to these terms.

5. Acceptable Use

Pistis is provided for personal, non-commercial use. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or circumvent the app's functionality outside of normal use.

6. Intellectual Property

The Pistis name, curated verse selections, and app design are the property of Brandon Bedford / Pistis. Your reflections, examen entries, and prayer records remain entirely yours — they are stored only on your device and are never transmitted to us.

7. Termination

You may stop using Pistis at any time by deleting the app and cancelling your subscription through your device's settings. We may suspend or discontinue the app or its features with reasonable notice where practicable.

8. Warranty Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Pistis is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Brandon Bedford / Pistis is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these terms will be resolved in the courts of California.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app or this website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
